Dr. Lynn Hines joins the Chesterton Academy Faculty

The board of directors of the Chesterton Academy of Bowling Green, a joyfully Catholic classical high school, is delighted to welcome Lynn Hines, EdD, NBCT, to our faculty. Dr. Hines will teach Latin, an essential subject in the Chesterton classical curriculum. She will also coordinate the school’s writing program and provide coaching and mentoring supports to new teachers.

Dr. Hines brings decades of diverse experience in a range of both public and private K-12 and higher education settings. With degrees and certifications in social studies, language arts, curriculum and instruction, and educational leadership, Dr. Hines was Kentucky’s first National Board Certified Teacher. As professional-in-residence in Western Kentucky University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, a position from which she retired in 2024, Dr. Hines was responsible for recruiting and training hundreds of Kentucky teachers from 26 different content areas to the NBCT program.
